Our Editorial Process

Stage 1: Submission and Initial Assessment

  • Author Registration: The author creates an account in the journal’s submission system.
  • Article Submission: The author submits the article through the online system.
  • Initial Quality Check: The editorial assistant performs a preliminary check to ensure the article meets formatting guidelines.
  • Assignment to Editor-in-Chief: The Editor-in-Chief reviews the article to evaluate its relevance to the journal's scope and determines if it should proceed to peer review.

Stage 2: Peer Review and Evaluation

  • Editor-in-Chief Evaluation: The Editor-in-Chief assesses the article’s quality and relevance. If deemed appropriate, it is sent to two independent peer reviewers. The journal follows a double-blind review process to ensure anonymity for both authors and reviewers.
  • Peer Review: Reviewers are given four weeks to provide their feedback and evaluations on the article.
  • Recommendation Based on Reviews: After receiving the reviewer reports, the Editor makes a decision on the article’s next steps based on the feedback.

Stage 3: Revisions and Post-Revision Evaluation

  • Revisions (if necessary): Authors are asked to address any suggested revisions before the article moves forward.
  • Post-Revision Evaluation: After the authors submit their revised article, the Editor checks the revisions to ensure they meet the necessary requirements. If satisfactory, the article is accepted for further processing.

Stage 4: Finalisation and Publication

  • Copy Editing: The manuscript is sent for copy editing, where it is checked for clarity, grammar, and style.
  • Proofreading and Layout Editing: After copy editing, the manuscript undergoes final proofreading and layout editing.
  • Creation of Galleys: After layout editing, galleys (final proofs of the manuscript) are created for author and editorial review.
  • Final Article Approval: The final formatted version, including the galleys, is reviewed and approved by both the authors and the Editor.
  • Production and Publication: Once approved, the manuscript is prepared for production and published in the next issue of the journal.
